Welcome to The Grind, the newsletter for people who want to build seven-figure businesses they can sell. You're the world-changers, the collaborative capitalists, the freedom lovers, and the ones who geek out over other people's success because if they can do it, you can too. We made this just for you.
This month, we’re talking crypto (and how it impacts you as an entrepreneur even if you don’t own one single Polkadot), getting your long-term cash flow moving faster, and how to get out of the weeds in your business for good.
Enjoy, share, and let us know what you think.

The total market cap of crypto right now is 1.56T.
And it’s not just speculative investors dumping money into this wacky machine. … We’ve got Elon Musk doing the hokey-pokey with Tesla’s acceptance of crypto, and now facing accusations of Dogecoin and ETH pump and dump after his SNL appearance. … As of January 2021, there were FOUR THOUSAND cryptocurrencies in play. … Motley Fool says, "It's possible to get filthy rich by investing in cryptocurrency. But you could also lose all your money."
Way back in 2001, computer scientist and futurist Raymond Kurzweil wrote this book article about the Law of Accelerating Returns, in which he said, "We won’t experience 100 years of progress in the 21st century — it will be more like 20,000 years of progress (at today’s rate)."
Dude. That was 8 years before Bitcoin was even a thing (2009, to save you the Google).
While some of us (cough, cough Ryan) will get dragged kicking and screaming into the crypto world, it won’t just be millennials and GenZs. Even capitalists like Dr. Tom Burns, who’s looking at the business end of 60, is digging into this world. (Note to self, time for a visit with the good doctor… he’s scheduled for a call inside The One Percent.)
Anyhow… maybe you’ll buy your next business with
crypto. If you buy or sell like that, let us know!
If you’re feeling like your odds are better walking up to a random slot machine and dumping a stack of quarters in, you’re not wrong. And if you’re feeling all the FOMO, know this: Only 14% of Americans have invested in crypto so far. So, even if you don’t run in headlong, there’s plenty of time to be an early
adopter.
Crypto investing advice? Nope - not going there. (Although a couple of people on the Capitalism.com team said they "have a good feeling about Doge" so… Ryan, who’s spent decades studying investing, is about to give himself vertigo with all that head-shaking.) For now, maybe track crypto nuts smarter-er than us, m’kay? And if you want the simplest Bitcoin explanation ever, here ya go.
So, no crypto investing talk here.
But...
This weird-ass world of made-up money is highly likely to impact how capitalists move through the world of business.
- They’re combining crypto with the equally puzzling NFT for marketing purposes, like the Roush-Fenway Racing NASCAR team.
- They’re using it to hedge against inflation.
- They’re sticking it to the man accepting crypto payments for drugs botanicals.
- They’re even buying real estate with crypto, for Pete’s sake.
And in a massive display of meta, digital marketer John Frigo actually sold a whole freaking collectible coins company for… Bitcoin.
Says John, "We had an offer to buy the company and just through chatting with the buyer realized they were also into crypto and accepting it as payment and just threw out the idea of them paying in crypto. We wound up selling the company for Bitcoin."

Oooh. Said we wouldn’t talk investing. That was a lie.
Why? Because business owners oughta be investing their profits. That’s how we create long-term wealth, by taking
some of those profits and doubling-down to build passive income and financial freedom… not someday, but right now.
Plus, it’s crazy time. Even for those of us playing in a fantasy investing competition.

(Glenn, I want to hate you, but I don’t.)
And yeah, yeah, Doge is nuts.
But one of the biggest opportunities the Capitalism.com team sees people missing out on is stock dividends. You can pick stock dividend investors out of a crowd. They’re the ones who all cool like… "Yeah, whatever," when speculators are freaking out.
In fact, you know what every nosedive on Wall Street means?
Bargains! You can even go old-school Priceline and name your price to buy stocks. Or you can make like Airbnb and pimp your stocks out.
It’s a fun time to play invest. Just remember to keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times.

Doge’s jumping, stocks bouncing, Clubhouse’s slip-sliding… of course. It’s spring, after all.
Remember back to when spring fever meant something? Like, way back before you got glued to your desk chair and became a creature of the night, always working, working,
working.
"Entrepreneurs are willing to work 80 hours a week to avoid working 40 hours a week." Hil-arious, huh?
But what’s driving the crazy-busy among us? They’re (certainly not YOU?) lost in the weeds, trying to figure out everything on their own, and running on nothing but
coffee and whisky FOMO and scarcity.
That’s why in a world of "gurus" who’ll tell you that the only way to succeed is to work your freaking face off, we’re calling B.S. Because being an entrepreneur stinks. Being an owner is where it’s at.
An entrepreneur does ALL the things. An owner only does THREE things.
- You cast a vision.
- You recruit the right people.
- You ensure that the company has enough money to execute your vision.
And yeah, that might mean giving up some equity to bring on investors...
But when Jesse brought investors on, he went from perpetual freak-out mode trying to keep inventory in stock… to walking the beaches of Costa Rica, where he gets inspiration for new products.
Nick went from looking for a quick fire-sale exit to escape a business that was draining the life out of him… to happily spending his days mad-scientist-ing in his laborrrratory kitchen.
Then, there’s Scott, who’s also seeing the light of day with a much higher quality of life now that he’s moved into the owner’s seat.
All three caught the eye - and the backing - of the Capitalism Fund.
And inside the Capitalism Incubator, we’ve got Manny and Paulina, who are building as owners right from the start. Plus, how cool is this? Keerthan, founder of SenseFiction, practiced pitching to investors inside Clubhouse and landed a hefty investment offer that he turned down… because he can. (Don’t try to buy him a drink, though… he’s not even legal yet!)
Seeing a trend here? Ownership is the way to go.

- Teachers say keep your eyes on your own paper. We say, copy your little heart out. Here’s a business you can steal (but only if you want to build a million-dollar business you can sell).
- Want to become irresistible to investors? This is for you.
- Here’s ONE thought that could totally change your whole… everything.
- Oh… and guess what? There’s a new podcast in town. It’s called The Road to $1 Million. It’s so cool even the trailer’s getting 5-stars.
- There’s a new noo in town, and we freaking made it. Put some in your beverage now, thank us later.

| Pop Quiz: How much do you need to invest to make $1000 a month in dividends? Answer below.

If you’re a visionary:
- Block off a couple of hours.
- Find a spot you can work remotely that is NOT your normal place (bonus points for getting outdoors).
- Do this exercise.
- Watch your world
get rocked.
- Find you an integrator who lives to do all that stuff you make yourself do (but tbh… you really aren’t that good at).
If you’re an integrator, you have NO IDEA how desperately visionaries neeeeeeeed you.
(Don’t know which you are? Take this quiz.)
Fact 1: Entrepreneurs do better when they build a great team. As The One Percent’s Member of the Month,
Bryan Starck, says: "You don't get extra points for doing it on your own." Once he learned how to ask others for help, he grew his service brand to $40K a month! Not only did that change his personal financials, but by freeing himself up to stay in his zone of
genius, he now performs amazing feats like the time he added $206,796 to his fitness brand client’s top line… in 30 days… using nothing but email.
Fact 2: Entrepreneurs also get braver and more focused when they surround themselves with a great
community.
Exhibit A: Todd Murphy, founder of UnderwareUSA.com, could have left his future raving fans’ boys swinging in the breeze while he waited until he was ‘ready’ to take orders. But a tuff-luv convo he had in his mastermind group with Coach
Justus Murimi kicked his butt gently nudged him to start taking presales now rather than ‘real’ sales… someday.
Exhibit B: Another member shared the vision>>biz plan he created after Justus’ Profit-Driven Purpose course (available inside The One Percent) with his 14-year-old spawn, and got the best eyeroll-free reply ever: "Wow, Dad, this is getting Muskish."
(BTW, don’t let Coach Justus’ beaming smile and sunny disposition lull you into thinking he won’t switch from good cop to bad cop if a butt kicking is what you really need. Just sayin.)
